Indeed, the aircraft is scheduled to take off at 10.30 a.m.; the flight should last about four hours. Measuring 74 meters, this aircraft is the longest fuselage version of Airbus’ all-new family of wide body jetliners. The A350-1000 comfortably seats 366 passengers in a typical 3-class configuration and flies on routes of up to almost 7,900 nautical miles.
Qatar Airways, the launch operator for the A350-1000, is expected to receive its first, between October 2017 and February 2018; Cathay Pacific should be the second company to be served.
Airbus has collected a total of 195 firm orders for the aircraft, including those of Etihad Airways (22), LATAM Airlines Group (18), Japan Airlines (13), Asiana Airlines (10), the leasing company Aer Lease Corporation (9), Virgin Atlantic (8), and Air Caraïbes (3).
